SMP HD or Scalp Micropigmentation Hair Density is a treatment option for both men and women concerned with thinning hair or bald spots.
What is SMP HD?
SMP HD or Scalp Micropigmentation Hair Density, is the process of adding thousands and thousands of pigmented, simulated hair follicles to the lower epidermis and/or upper dermis, what is known as the epidermal/dermal layer of the skin. These simulated hair follicles fill in the white space on the scalp, giving the appearance of a thicker, fuller, denser head of hair.
What is SMP SD?
Before SMP SD
After 1 Year of SMP SD
Some clients do not want to see the whiteness of the scalp at all, or may have significant hair loss or thinning, depending on what level or stage of hair loss they are currently in. In this case, SMC offers SMP SD or Scalp Micropigmentation Super Density. Super Density (SD) allows us to add as much density to the scalp as possible, to darken the scalp as much as possible. Unlike HD, where we want to camouflage the whiteness of the scalp, with SD we completely cover the skin of the scalp. For example, with HD we add about 500 microdots per square inch of skin, however, with SD, we add anywhere between 700-1000 microdots per square inch, which of course, increases the amount of density in an area, totally covering the scalp.
